Photo Gallery for Zion #1 Installation of Officers 2026 Dear Officers and Brothers of Zion Lodge No. 1, It is hard to believe that a week has gone by since Zion's 2026 Installation of Officers. It was a memorable event, and an enjoyable joint Cocktail Hour and Reception Dinner shared with other lodges and appendant bodies, as presented by the Detroit Masonic Temple. We had a great Installing Grand Team, Honor Guard, Bagpiper, and Photographer. I am very proud of how well the event went, of the newly installed Officers, all of the attending families and friends that it was my pleasure to meet, and I thank each and every Brother that attended and helped the day be such a memorable event! The Installation event Photographer, W. Br. Chuck Nagy, has uploaded the photo gallery for Zion #1 Installation of Officers 2026, at: https://heavy-pedalz-llc.client-gallery.com/gallery/zion-1-installation-of-officers-2026 To view the site, you will need to login with your first and last name, and an email. Brethren,
It is with a heavy heart I must report that Brother Daniel Conrad has laid down the working tools this afternoon, the 29th day of April, A.L. 6025. Brother Dan was an active member of Zion Lodge, and I had the pleasure of personally installing him as a Steward just earlier this month. His presence will be greatly missed by many of us. I am not alone in remembering the many interesting stories Brother Dan would regale us with after lodge. Whether it was from one of his many deployments as Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy or his passion for flying and fine automobiles (particularly Porsche), he always had something unique and insightful to share. Brother Dan was initiated as an Entered Apprentice on November 26, 1968, passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on January 28th, 1969, and Raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on February 25th, 1969. His Mother Lodge was Coronado No. 441 in California, but affiliated with Zion Lodge No. 1 in 1993. He was a faithful and cherished member of Zion Lodge for 32 years and dedicated over 50 years of service to the craft altogether. Please keep his son, Brother Christopher Conrad, as well as the rest of the Conrad family in your thoughts during this extremely difficult time. A Masonic memorial service will be held at a date yet to be determined. An update will be sent once we have additional information.
Sincerely,
Brandon Langford Worshipful Master,

| Brothers of Zion Lodge, I just received this communication from Brother Ken Watson of Kilauea Lodge in Hilo, Hawaii. A few months ago Brother Ken inquired if we had an extra set of working tools in our archives. I checked and we did. I made a motion in Lodge to donate them, as they were not being used....so when in Hawaii check out our new friends at Kilauea Lodge!! |
The working tools arrived just in time for the first of 3 Raisings we will be doing. I presented them to WM Lane Leeper when he opened Lodge Tuesday evening. We are all so grateful for your gift and moved by the show of Brotherly love. I will let you know the next time I'm headed back for a visit. Sending you guys a wave of Aloha!Mahalo!!!! ☀️🏝️🏄♂️🤝
