| Brethren, Due to some confusion in our Grandview system, I wanted to make sure everyone knew what was going on this Saturday. Breakfast will start at 8AM. Bring your families and come and eat great food with some great people and enjoy the fellowship. Our 5-hour lecture will start at 9AM. This is open to all Master Masons. This is an annual requirement for our Lodge to complete. We are required to have at a minimum, 5 Officers and 2 Master Masons in attendance. We will be going over the OSW and our ritual work. This is a great time to come and learn, improve your ritualistic abilities, and fellowship. Jason Caldwell |

| Baltimore Convention.docx Brethren, We had a wonderful discussion group in January where we spoke about the 'Morgan Affair' and the resulting implications. That evening we decided that our next Discussion Group would be on Tuesday, 17 February 2026 starting at 1800. We will be meeting at WB Howard Kahns house. As he does not have a parking lot for a driveway, if you would like to attend, please ride together. The topic for February will be 'The Baltimore Convention of 1843'. I am attaching a document with an overview of the convention. There is a link in the document is for a YouTube video. It is about an hour long and gives more information about the convention and how it resulted. WB Howard and I were talking and have decided to make it more of an open discussion, we would like for Brethren to read, study, and come with ideas/topics for this class. WB JP, will you bring up talking points for the results of the convention? Again, this will be about an hour and at the end of the discussion, we will set another date and topic. Please bring ideas for a topic. Hope to see you there!! Jason |

| Brethren, It is with the deepest sorrow that I inform you of the passing of Brother Woodrow 'Woody' Haskell Myers. His obituary from Jones Funeral Home is below: Woodrow “Woody” Haskell Myers passed away peacefully at Transition Life Care in Raleigh, North Carolina on January 14, 2026, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Shirley Klosner Myers of Chesapeake, Virginia; daughters Evelyn “Eve” Key (Doug), and Judy Ogden (John); grandsons Stuart Ferrell (Stephanie), Patrick Ferrell and Andrew Ogden; great grandsons Woodson Ferrell and Yates Ferrell. Stepdaughters Shari Brinkman (Rand) and Sara Hahne (Dan); step grandchildren Logan Key (Lindsay), Kathryn Hahne (Charlie) and Andrew Hahne. Step great grandchildren Sam Key and Emma Key. Woody was born in Burgaw, NC February 16,1930 to Lawyer Quinton and Florence Mallard Myers. He later married Patricia Lyon, moved to Dunn, NC where they raised their daughters. He graduated from Campbell College and North Carolina State University. Woody taught at Erwin High School and later joined Corbin Construction Company. After moving his family to Hampstead NC, he worked for East Coast Construction Company and Onslow Utilities. Woody always enjoyed living on or near the water so he could go fishing and shrimping. He enjoyed being able to share his catches with others and had excellent “fish frying and oyster shucking” skills. To all who knew him, Woody was an intelligent, talented, energetic and kind gentleman, and will be missed by his family and friends. Family will receive friends Monday, February 23, 2026, 5 until 7 pm at Jones Funeral Home located at 303 Chaney Avenue, Jacksonville, NC. | Brethren, WB Howard Kahn has suggested that we start up our Reading/Discussion Group at Semper Fidelis Lodge. The purpose of this group is to expand our knowledge in our Fraternity. These topics can range from historical periods or events, why we do certain things in modern day Lodges or anything else we can come up with. These meetings will be a maximum of an hour and at the end of the session, we will choose a topic for the next meeting and a date/time to meet. Our first meeting will be on January 27, 2026, at 1830. We will meet at Semper Fidelis in the dining hall. In this first meeting, the topic we will be discussing will be 'The Morgan Affair'. Bring an open mind to learn, any knowledge you have on the subject. Also, bring any topic you would like to discuss for the next meeting. Attached is a quick read concerning William Morgan and this topic. Jason The Morgan Affair.docx |
