A word from our Officers…
From the East:
Hear ye! Hear ye! My Brothers of Compass Lodge No. 9,
I wish you all a very Happy and prosperous New Year! I hope you and your families enjoyed a joyful Christmas holiday and celebrated a healthy and safe New Year’s. As we enter the new year at our Lodge, I kindly ask for your attendance at the following upcoming events:
• January 5th: Memorial service (dinner at 6:00 PM, Lodge opens at 7:00 PM).
• January 19th: Annual business meeting to review the 2026 budget (dinner at 6:00 PM, Lodge opens at 7:00 PM). During this meeting, we will clarify the differences between Compass Lodge and the Masonic Temple Corporation (MTC), along with the financials of both entities. A brief Q&A session will follow, and I strongly encourage all Master Masons to attend.
Finally, on January 22nd, we will host our popular Fourth Thursday Fellowship at Delta Arsenal in Wallingford, CT. Compass Lodge Brothers will have priority to reserve spots during the first week after the announcement, after which we will extend invitations to other lodges to fill any remaining openings. This event offers excellent value and a wonderful opportunity, thanks to the generosity and efforts of our hosts, Brian Sargent, Brother Jay Bathgate and staff. We are dividing participants into smaller groups and seeking assistance from our experienced Brother gun handlers to support those who are novices. (Text me your interest) Each of these dates will include time for fellowship afterward—please make an effort to introduce yourselves, get to know one another, and build stronger bonds. If you notice a Brother who seems alone, invite him into your conversation and help make everyone feel welcome and honored in our Fraternity.
I also extend my sincere thanks to all the officers who have stepped forward to serve and contribute their time. Your attendance at Lodge directly supports their dedicated work in advancing the Craft of Freemasonry. God bless you all. I look forward to a successful and productive year together.
Fraternally,
Brother Ron Hansen Jr.
Worshipful Master

From the West:
As we close the chapter on 2025 and step with hope into 2026, I extend my heartfelt wishes for a Happy and Prosperous New Year to you, your families, and all our Brothers. May the warmth and blessings of the holiday season remain with us, and may the coming year bring abundant health, joy, and ever-brighter Masonic light to guide our paths.
It is with deep humility and genuine gratitude that I accept the honor of serving as your Senior Warden. I look forward to standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our Worshipful Master, supporting our officers, and collaborating with every one of you to strengthen and advance the timeless principles of our beloved Craft. The energy and enthusiasm we bring in the months ahead will shape what we achieve together. Your active presence and participation truly make the difference. My sincere appreciation goes to every Brother who has stepped forward to serve as an officer or committee member. Your dedication and willingness to be present at the Lodge not only honor that commitment but also lay the foundation for an even stronger and more vibrant future for Compass Lodge No. 9. May God bless and keep each of you. I am genuinely excited for a year filled with growth, harmony, and the enduring bond of brotherhood.
Fraternally and with warmest regards,
Brother Kyle Piper
Senior Warden
Compass Lodge #9
My Brothers,
As we begin the year 2026, I am reminded of the charge entrusted to the Junior Warden—to promote harmony, fellowship, and proper refreshment among the Craft—and I look forward to fulfilling that duty with you throughout the year.
This portion of the EA charge came to mind as I reflected on the dedication shown by the Brothers of Compass Lodge No. 9. The time you give—often twice eachmonth—has been invaluable, not only to the Lodge, but to the personal growth and Masonic journey of so many. Your frequent attendance at our stated meetings is earnestly solicited; yet it is never meant that Masonry should interfere with your necessary vocations, for these are on no account to be neglected. Rather, it is our balance—between labor, refreshment, family, and duty—that strengthens both the man and the Mason.
I look forward to seeing Compass Lodge continue to thrive in 2026, alongside the friends and families who support us and share in our community outreach.
Fraternally,
Brother Michael Gerace
Junior Warden
